Novi's Movement Assessment uses short front- and side-view checks to add context to your training profile. It is optional, repeatable, and built as fitness guidance—not a diagnosis or pass/fail test.

Standard assessment
Novi does not record or upload an assessment video. Standard camera-based checks use movement information on the device.
Start with Voice Coach
Compact tracking state can support coaching during the views. After both views, eight selected frames are sent to Google Gemini for the review you requested; Novi does not retain those frames after processing.

From baseline to plan
One input, not the whole decision.
A movement snapshot should not overrule the rest of your training context. Novi also uses the goals you select, your training experience, weekly rhythm, equipment, and anything you report as painful or limiting.
During workouts, the optional Analyzer is a separate feature for compatible exercises. It can provide placement, rep, and form cues while the phase-based plan controls progression, volume, tempo, and recovery.

Before you turn on the camera
Is Novi's Movement Assessment a medical assessment?
No. It is a fitness baseline and coaching feature. It does not diagnose an injury, prescribe rehabilitation, or replace evaluation by a qualified health professional.
Does Novi record an assessment video?
No assessment video clip is recorded or uploaded. Standard on-device assessment checks use camera-derived movement information locally.
What changes if I start the assessment with Voice Coach?
Voice Coach can receive compact tracking state while you complete the views. After both views, eight selected assessment frames are sent to Google Gemini for the requested coaching review and are not retained by Novi after processing.
Can I skip or clear the assessment?
Yes. The assessment is optional. You can train without it, retake it later, or clear the saved result from Settings.
